Zehra Kalafat
My architectural adventure, which started in Izmir, found its own identity with the establishment of LZK Architecture & Construction in 2005. Thinking of aesthetics, functionality and durability together, I have undertaken numerous projects ranging from apartments to villas, offices to unique living spaces.
For me, architecture is not just a process of building; it is the form of a thought, a feeling, a life. That is why I prefer to approach each project not only as a structure but also as the spatial expression of a life story.
By transferring my architectural knowledge to living spaces that are in harmony with nature, I continue to inspire simple and meaningful lifestyles with projects such as Minima Heaven. I see architecture as not just a profession but also the most creative way to transform an imaginary structure.

I have always looked at architecture as a whole. I believe that design is not just about drawing, but rather that it gains meaning through the relationship between space and people, the environment and time. This approach has formed the basis of my professional stance that has taken shape over the years.
Under the roof of LZK Architecture & Construction, which we founded in 2005, I have undertaken both the design and implementation processes in many projects ranging from housing to commercial structures. I care about producing original and simple solutions and proceeding with a project-specific language.
The award I won in “Odada Yaz Vakti – AI-Supported Idea Competition Series: Architecture Category” was a step towards how architecture can be nourished by new technologies.
For me, architecture is still a field of asking questions and trying new ways.
The Studio
LZK Architecture & Construction was founded in Izmir in 2002 with the common vision of two MSc Architects. Since the day we were founded, we have seen architecture not only as a process of building, but also as an art that transforms life, touches people and gains meaning with its environment.
We provide services in a wide range from housing projects to commercial buildings, from fast food chains to office interiors. We approach the process from idea to implementation with a holistic approach by bringing together aesthetics, functionality and durability. We approach each project with a user-oriented and unique perspective.
In recent years, we have focused on exploring alternative architectural paths with living spaces that are in harmony with nature, such as Minima Heaven. In our opinion, a good building is not only built; it is felt, lived and gains value over time.
